THE VENICE TRAIL – FROM TREVISO TO THE VENETIAN LAGOON BY BIKE
Nature, sport and relax. These three words describe “The Venice Trail”, a 30 km bike ride along the Sile River to discover wonderful views and the beauties of the Natural Park. The bike ride starts from the historical town of Treviso until arriving in Quarto d’Altino. For those who wish, it is possible to lengthen the ride up to face on the Northern Venetian lagoon, in Portegrandi.

The point of departure is the historic town of Treviso, crossed by its countless canals and, leaving its mighty walls behind you head immersed in the green of the Sile Natural Park toward Quarto d’Altino, important commercial port during the Roman era.
From here it’s possible to reach Portegrandi on Northern Venetian Lagoon, where begins the branch of the river.
It’s not over here! “The Venice Trail” means also good food. In fact, along the path you can have a break and taste typical dishes in characteristic taverns rich of charm.
In short, a day to discover the beauties and the flavours of the Sile Natural Park.
9.00 – 10.30 am Appointment at the station in Treviso, briefing of the day, allocation of bikes and introduction of road book that will be your guide during this small adventure!
10.30 – 11.30 am Bike ride in Treviso
1.30 pm After a ride of about 12 km along the Sile Natural Park, you will arrive at Casier for an optional break, with a tastings of typical local food at Trattoria Al Sile (closed on Wednesday).
2.30 – 3.30 pm After Casier you will pass in front of the headquarters of Travelsport, where we expect you for a coffee and we check together the bus and train timetables for coming back.
4.30 – 6.00 pm Ride for other 15 km in the most beautiful part of the route until Quarto d’Altino. Here you can come back to Treviso with direct bus or train (change train in Mestre). Both solutions require 30 minutes.
There is the possibility of lengthening the path up to Portegrandi (10 km outward + 10 km return to Quarto d’Altino for a total of 50 km).

The path is flat and for the 80% on gravel and 20% on asphalt. Suitable for all.

The rate includes front suspended bicycle, helmet, side pocket, padlock, road book, map of Treviso, train and bus timetables, assistance along the entire route, delivery of the bike and briefing in Treviso, release of the bike in Quarto d’Altino.
The rates do not include train/bus tickets to Treviso or other destinations (approx 3.50€) and lunch.
