ONCE UPON A TIME THERE WAS LA FRASCA BORGOLUCE
The “Frasca Borgoluce” is the ideal place for an aperitif or a true country-style snack, choosing from buffalo milk cheese, cured meats, still wines and Prosecco by the Borgoluce farm estate. Perfect place to enjoy genuine products in simple, traditional, rural atmosphere.
In the rural tradition, “La Frasca” was a place where it was possible to taste salami, cheeses and wines produced by local farmers.
This particular custom was born towards the end of the 1700s when farmers were allowed to sell wine and other homemade food at their homes. It was also customary indicate this small shop with a branch (the frasca in fact) in plain sight along the road and at the house where the products were sold.
The Venetian expression “Andar per frasche” is still today synonymous of simple but genuine food and wine, and this promise at the Frasca Borgoluce is maintained.
Here, Marinella and Giancarlo are ready to welcome you for an aperitif or a genuine country snack with salami, cheeses and Prosecco Borgoluce.
Open every Saturdays and Sundays, or on request, “La Frasca” offers the opportunity to spend an afternoon enjoying the best of the Venetian countryside: while children can play on the grass and have fun with farm animals, groups can visit the Museum, book a tour of the Borgoluce Estate between the Treviso green hills or visit the castles of Collalto and San Salvatore where the counts of Collalto, owners of the Estate, still live today.
Borgoluce is a wonderful world of eco-sustainability and genuineness handed down from generation to generation. The estate includes, besides the “Frasca”: a farm, two country houses with a natural swimming pool, a gourmet osteria and a variety of shops in the Treviso area.
Different situations accumulated by the same values: passion and delicious products strictly made according to natural, organic methods.
